Codes and Standards Compliance
Codes and Standards are there to keep the public and property safe and to prevent loss of life and/or property. When work is performed and meets the standards and codes for the jurisdiction, this mitigates the likelihood of incidents or fires. Unfortunately, in many cases, these very same standards and codes are overlooked and this can directly or indirectly result in losses. Our experts have the knowledge and expertise to identify relevant codes (such as the Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code) and other regulations such as Utility Regulations, and standards relevant to installations and products. Once those standards and codes are identified, we can assess whether they were properly followed for the installations in question and whether it is reasonable to expect such standards and codes of the day to have been met under the circumstances which led to the loss.
