Other Types of Equipment

Losses in other types of equipment can include sump pump failures, fires in dryers and other types of appliances. This equipment often includes electrical and mechanical components and both types of components need to be examined in order to determine a reason for failure or cause of a fire. Electrical or mechanical failures can occur in electric motors and rotating components, such as bearings, may also be present which can fail. Dryers will also have a heating element where failures can occur. Appliances will also have safety devices that need to be identified and examined to determine if they were properly functioning.
