Origin and Cause is Growing Out West
May 11, 2017
We opened our Edmonton branch a year ago, in response to the high frequency of investigations we were conducting in the region. As the local market embraced our team so kindly, demand for our services has continued to grow rapidly. As such, we are proud to announce the hiring of two new forensic experts – Allen Bauer and Mark Mason – to ensure the highest standard of technical excellence and customer service for our clients in the region.
“The insurance and legal community in Edmonton have been extremely supportive and welcoming to Origin and Cause since we opened our doors last year. The feedback we receive daily from our clients is incredible, and really makes me proud. We appreciate each and every one of you that have given us the opportunity to prove ourselves, and we promise to continue providing industry leading response times, fast and efficient reporting, and to always go the extra mile for you.” says Mazen Habash, President of Origin and Cause.
“We are excited to have Mark and Allen join our team,” says Ken Swan, Manager of Western Canada. “Being amongst the most sought after experts in Alberta, and having such diverse technical backgrounds, I am confident in their abilities to discover the truth of an incident by determining the facts, and best position our clients for success.”
Allen is a Fire and Explosion Investigator with over 13 years of professional experience in fire suppression. He is a Captain Qualified Fire Investigator with the City of Edmonton Fire Rescue Services Investigations Branch and has performed over 150 investigations. He is currently a member of the NAFI, FIAA and IAFF.
Mark has worked for the provincial downstream hydrocarbon regulator in Ontario for approximately 14 years. In that time he has led, and assisted in, over 100 explosion and fire investigations. Mark has extensive experience in hydrocarbon appliance operation and failure mechanisms, and expert knowledge of all Canadian codes and regulations with respect to hydrocarbon fuels.
