Origin and Cause Opens New Office in Victoria, B.C.

March 7, 2018

Origin and Cause is proud to announce the opening of a new office in Victoria – our first office in beautiful British Columbia. Running operations in the province will be Shirley Niven, a highly respected Mechanical Engineer and Wildland Fire Behaviour Specialist with over 15 years of experience.

Origin and Cause President, Mazen Habash commented: “The B.C. market has been requesting that Origin and Cause open a local office for the past couple of years, so this is a very exciting time for the company and for our clients. We are extremely fortunate to have Shirley join our team; she is an industry leader in the Forensic Engineering world, and an incredible technical resource for the insurance and legal communities in British Columbia. Clients love working with her because she is friendly, reliable and brilliant at what she does. We couldn’t ask for a better person to represent Origin and Cause on the other side of the mountain.”

Being on the preferred vendor list of the largest insurers and independent adjusting firms in Canada, we have focused on expanding our geographical spread in order to provide clients access to our services across the country. The Victoria branch is Origin and Cause’s fourteenth office, reaffirming our position as the nation’s largest consulting forensic engineering and fire investigation firm.

Manager of Western Canada, Ken Swan, added: “Our operations in Western Canada have increased significantly in the last two years. We’ve grown our team in Calgary and Edmonton, and added two offices in Saskatchewan. And the feedback we’ve received from clients has been very positive and encouraging. We now have boots on the ground in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C., offering our clients access to local, consistent and dependable Forensic expertise.”
