Yasser Korany Promoted to Structural Forensics Practice Lead

Origin and Cause is excited to announce the promotion of Yasser Korany, Ph.D., P.Eng., P.E., LEED® AP, PMP, from Consulting Forensic Structural Engineer to Structural Forensics Practice Lead. He will report to Mario Delorme, VP Eastern Canada.

His strategic planning and leadership have been absolutely essential to the acquisition of top talent and the expansion of the service.”

Yasser joined Origin and Cause in 2015. Prior to joining Origin and Cause, Yasser taught structural analysis and design courses at the University of Alberta as an Associate Professor and provided forensic engineering consultancy services in Alberta. He has over 30 years of experience, and is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and the state of Michigan. He specializes in structural forensic and litigation support investigations and has performed close to 1,000 investigations to date. Throughout his career, Yasser has applied his unique combination of laboratory and field experience to identify the cause of structural distress and failures for institutional and commercial facilities, Part 9 buildings and parking garages. An expert on green building, Yasser is also a LEED® Accredited Professional and has been recently certified as a Project Management Professional.
