Fit to Burst: Frozen Pipes and Water Damage Claims

November 29, 2023

Winter is fast approaching and that means falling temperatures and frozen pipes. Frozen and burst pipes are extremely common in the winter months and add significantly to the billions of dollars insurers pay out each year in water damage claims. Yet, despite the significance of these claims – both individually and taken as a whole – they are rarely afforded the same kind of attention as other severe risks.

In this webinar, we will be discussing the many factors that can cause or contribute to frozen pipes and the vulnerabilities in structures that lead to these issues, as well as what to look for and what to do when attending a scene. In the process, we will be reviewing a number of different case studies before going over some quick tips on prevention.
