And their usefulness is not limited to investigations. Drones can also assist contractors and adjusters in the rebuilding process.

However, the insurance industry is not alone in adopting drone technology. There has been a marked increase in the number of drones in Canadian airspace, and this has compelled Transport Canada to introduce some of the strictest operating regulations in the world. These new rules and penalties are of particular importance to anyone piloting or employing drones for commercial use – including insurers.
